Dive Deep Into Emotion With F9 Nautilus
We are incredibly proud to introduce F9 Nautilus - a deeply organic and emotionally inspiring collection of patches, carefully crafted to ensure your creative flow remains unbroken while composing.

Logic and Ableton Walkthrough -
Kontakt Walkthrough -
The modern musician's brain operates in two distinct modes: Creative and Technical.
Unfortunately, many sound banks and plug-ins constantly pull you away from the joy of creativity, forcing you instead into technical mode — wrestling with complicated GUIs, modulation matrices, and complex plug-in chains just to achieve a sound that feels even slightly alive.
This relentless mode-switching kills inspiration and is precisely why the recording industry historically employed separate engineers and producers working side by side.
Allow us to remove a substantial part of the sound-design burden from your workflow, enabling you to remain in your right-brain creative state longer and make the most of every studio session. We've infused every patch with organic movement thanks to thousands of hours of sound design, freeing you to spend more time immersed in your art.
Demos
Most sample pack creators simply provide sounds, leaving you wondering how to best utilise them.
At F9, we believe in guiding you through every step, demonstrating how to unlock the full potential of each release. Within in mind, F9 Nautilus includes 11 demo projects (you can hear these in the main audio demos ) available as fully featured DAW template sessions for Logic and Ableton.

For our Kontakt users, we've provided not only all MIDI files but also a complete set of audio stems from the demos showcased on this page. The Kontakt GUI and scripting are our most advanced yet, whilst keeping everything clear and easy to use.
We tested Nautilus extensively across genres, and we soon realised that you guys would probably love to have access to these test results and it's this natural experimentation with these fantastic patches that has created these demos
We were thrilled to find out just how many different styles of music we can use Nautilus with very basic processing and we encourage you to diving as far as you can to see how we have used and layered the patches of this release to create the demos above.
Please note - The Kontakt edition of this release requires a full install of Kontakt 7.10 or above, it will wot work correctly with the free Player edition of Kontakt.

What are F9 TRAX?
F9 TRAX represents our most powerful and versatile releases to date. In this TRAX release, we deliver 7 fully produced, professionally arranged & mixed DAW projects for you to explore and dissect within your own studio and DAW environment.
All main musical elements are crafted using the included multi-sampled instrument library, along with our meticulously designed drum kits and menus. This allows you to immediately start creating your own original productions using the remarkable sounds and atmosphere of the pack. Unlike typical loop-based content, the pack’s core elements are driven by fully editable MIDI, giving you unparalleled creative freedom.
Our TRAX DAW templates are designed to be entirely self-contained, requiring no third-party plugins. Each template is built from a bespoke sound library that integrates seamlessly into the libraries you already know and love in Ableton Live or Logic Pro.
F9 Audio is renowned for its collection and innovative use of classic hardware synths, samplers, drum machines, and studio hardware. This pack is no exception, offering a modern take on iconic sounds and techniques.
From SP1200-resampled drums and chunky DX7 basses to hand-crafted 303 Acid sequences, lush JP8000 Supersaws, and 90s-style vocal and sax riffs, this release is packed with sonic inspiration. Alongside the expertly designed project files, you'll also gain valuable insights into advanced production techniques.
Currently, F9 TRAX is available for Ableton Live and Logic Pro, but each release is also converted into a WAV pack for users of other DAWs.
The Sounds
1 - SP1200 Resampled Drums

For many years, an original EMU SP1200 was a major feature of the F9 Studios setup. During its time in active use, we resampled a large collection of house music-inspired drum sounds through the unit, further enhancing them by passing the signals through our Neve 1081 preamps and EQ strips, as well as our API and SSL X-Rack devices.
With version 1.5, we’ve significantly expanded the number of SP1200 drum hits. We’ve meticulously curated a fresh collection of 16 new kicks, claps, snares, hats, percussion, and cymbals to complement and enrich the original library.
The signature 12-bit sampling, combined with the renowned aliasing artefacts introduced by the SP1200’s retuning process, brings unparalleled crunch, weight, and depth to drum programming. These characteristics deliver the punch and warmth often missing from unprocessed drum sounds.
2 - Multisampled Patches

The original pioneers of the house music movement set the standard for using multisampled instruments in DAW templates. With the V1.5 update, we’ve significantly expanded the range of fully playable multisampled patches available. This includes additional D7 basses, electric and grand pianos, punchy and warm house organs, and the iconic fizzing JP-8080 supersaw plucks and pads. All of these are designed to offer you fully playable, musically inspiring tools.
3 - Tempo-Synchronised Patches
We’ve long aimed to bring tempo-synchronised patches to both Logic and Ableton, and the F9 iFunk II release proved the workflow. Now, we’re excited to deliver even more functionality in this area through our upcoming template releases, enhancing their practicality and creative potential.
4 - Full WAV and Apple Loop Support
We’ve taken significant steps to make the TRAX packs more efficient and user-friendly. From compiling all the drum and FX sounds to rendering every main element in 24-bit audio, we’ve organised everything not just by project but also by sound type. No more exporting parts from projects or hunting through folders while working at speed—everything is here, ready to streamline your workflow.

5 - MIDI Files
We’ve heard your feedback loud and clear: MIDI files are a must. We’ve committed to including MIDI files in as many productions as possible. These files capture every note-by-note detail, featuring many classic chord progressions from the 90s and beyond. This collection adds even more highly usable content to an already packed offering, ensuring even more creative possibilities.
The Projects
( Logic or Ableton views )

F9 TRAX Orbit – 128 BPM, D Minor
Orbit takes you on a journey through the heady, smoke-machine-filled days of early Progressive House and the pre-Trance melodic releases of the early '90s. Glorious parallel 7th chord breakdowns and rich atmospheres are seamlessly interwoven with Phrygian scale, heads-down drops. The arrangement demonstrates the vital role musical evolution played during this era, providing invaluable inspiration for modern producers.

F9 TRAX Chicago – 123 BPM, D Minor
Dive into the soulful side of house music with Chicago, a project that showcases warm, yet punchy house organs, electric pianos, staccato saxophones, and atmospheric vocal ad-libs. The arrangement exemplifies how dynamic musical sections can build and release tension, creating irresistible grooves that ebb and flow throughout the track.

F9 TRAX Madagasca – 120 BPM, C Minor
Madagasca highlights the slower tempo of early house music, featuring bass multisampled from an original Waldorf Microwave 1. This is blended with an 8-bit resampled version of the iconic Organ Bass, a timeless melodic staple in house music. An infectious riff propels the main sections forward, while warm yet sombre '90s string pads create emotive breakdowns that capture the essence of the era.

F9 TRAX Left Bank – 121 BPM, E Minor
Left Bank pays homage to the French Touch and Parisian scene, expertly riffing on the iconic "3-on-the-root" bassline made famous by Bernard Edwards and emulated by everyone from Queen to Daft Punk. Dive into the MIDI parts to uncover the techniques behind creating this style of production, complete with intricate musical elements and complex arrangements that elevate the groove.

F9 TRAX White Label 122Bpm, Dminor
An homage to the DIY spirit of the mid-'90s UK house music explosion, F9 TRAX White Label celebrates an era when producers pressed tracks on vinyl with simple white labels and basic sleeves to keep costs low. Every week, countless hopefuls would strive to get their latest studio creations onto PVC and convince distribution vans to deliver their hot-off-the-press dance records to record shops, eagerly awaited by crate-digging DJs.
This project captures the essence of that time, featuring classic '90s beats, rolling basslines, and evocative piano and string breakdowns. From underground rhythm-centric tech grooves to melodic, passionate moments, White Label showcases the sounds, production techniques, and arrangements that defined the era.

F9 TRAX Black Widow 123Bpm, Eminor
Step forward into the classic funky house era with F9 TRAX Black Widow. This project ignites with a composite bassline that masterfully blends a multisampled jazz bass with mini-riffs and effects drawn from a versatile bass sound-menu patch.
Discover how we use ‘air’ loops to inject energy and subliminal motion into the most driving sections, and apply filtered build-ups with atmospheric breakdowns reminiscent of iconic tracks like Armand Van Helden’s remix of Tori Amos’s “Professional Widow.” This project is a masterclass in funky house production, capturing the essence of the mid-’90s through to the mid-2000s explosion of the genre.

F9 TRAX Motor City 123Bpm, AMinor
Sampling was a cornerstone of early house music. When a chord is sampled and played back using a MIDI keyboard, the resulting chord sequence gains a unique character. This happens because certain notes of the chord are transposed outside the standard diatonic notes of the musical key. This distinctive sound became synonymous with early house music.
In this project, we replicate that iconic technique using multiple variations of an openly voiced minor 7th chord, recorded through 8-bit sampling. This approach mimics the sound of legendary devices like the Ensoniq Mirage, famously embraced by Detroit’s pioneering producers.

Welcome to F9 iFunk Vol II
The goal was simple - to create the most versatile contemporary disco guitar collection we could. To deliver those incessant and richly melodic guitar parts in the most useful way we possibly could.
The best disco-orientated rhythm guitar parts make your feet itch, they play on the off-beat pulses and can elevate your track's heartbeat and groove until you simply can't keep still. In this pack you will find over 800 nuggets of funk that will do just that.
I’ll be honest; wrapping up an F9 pack always brings a bit of anxiety about meeting our users' high expectations. But here, I’m proud to say we’ve nailed it. Drawing from everything we learned from the response to F9 iFunk Volume I, we’ve crafted an exceptional sample pack with streamlined navigation, usability, flexibility and of course - Gallons Of Funk.
F9 iFunk Volume II was a joy to work with while producing the audio demos and the additional track featured in the walkthrough video. Our production decisions turned out to be spot-on. No matter where i went musically for the demos, F9 iFunk II delivered inspiration, funk and energy.
This is F9 so we didnt stop there -
Once again, we have included all of the Stems, loops, Hits and Midi from the Audio demos you can hear in the soundcloud player above to every edition of this pack.
I’ve had the privilege of working with Robin Boult for years, and every time he leaves a session, I’m in awe - not only of his precision and intricacy, but of the inventive fills, accents, and micro-melody ideas he brings by the bucketload.
It was a key design point from the start. In F9 iFunk II, we packed in as many loops as possible that can straddle chord changes, making them suitable for countless productions. In this pack, we broke out the filters and Robin’s effortlessly funky wah playing adds a whole new dimension, allowing us to offer an even larger selection of loops.
But that's only the beginning. With this release, we’ve achieved comprehensive tempo-locking across multiple software samplers, delivering a value-packed library that truly stands out for all DAW users.
Included in Every Edition :
All Editions Contain a Kontakt 6.7 (Onwards) Library
Our F9 menu instruments are one of the standout features in any F9 release. Each loop in the Kontakt instrument is tempo-locked to your DAW via Kontakt’s Time Machine Pro engine, giving you incredible flexibility and precision. Loops are placed one per key of the MIDI keyboard, starting at C1, allowing you to trigger, test , experiement and arrange seamlessly.
Thanks to Kontakt’s advanced time-stretching, these patches effortlessly track tempo changes in your project, as demonstrated in the second audio demo. Each loop is cut to start at the beginning of a bar, making it easy to find and use loops by simply moving the MIDI notes up or down in your midi regions.
We’ve also tapped into Kontakt’s internal effects to deliver features like ping-pong delays, three impulse-response reverbs, chorus, phaser, and a fantastic EQ section inspired by a classic British desk equalizer. For added depth, the built-in feedback compressor emulates vintage hardware, letting you shape the patches with a touch of extra character and responsiveness.
* Please note, this portion will require a FULL install of Kontakt. This will not work correctly on the free Kontakt player.
All Editions Contain a Halion Sonic 7 Libary
We’re expanding our support for HALion Sonic with this release. HALion Sonic is a powerful, free VST sampler compatible with all DAWs, supporting Audio Units, VST, and AAX formats.
You can download it **HERE**.
We’re excited to announce that, like the Kontakt portion of this pack, all patches in the HALion Sonic library are tempo-locked to your project and track tempo changes in real-time. This level of tempo-locked functionality is rare at this price point and brings our infamous menu instruments to any DAW user.
As shown in the GUI above, we’ve integrated HALion Sonic’s internal features, including an impressive phaser effect. You can hear it in action on the muted guitar in the first audio demo. We’ve also enabled the unison feature, accessible via GUI macros, to emulate double-tracking.
Tempo Locked Instruments for Logic / Ableton
All patches in the Logic and Ableton Editions are synced to project tempo using native samplers.
In Logic, we’ve enabled Flex Time on all instruments, while in Ableton, Drum Racks are packed with simpler instruments using pre-warped tempo-locked loop content. This setup brings unparalleled flexibility across the entire library.
To our knowledge, no other guitar pack at this price point offers this level of tempo-synced functionality!

New Heights in Sample Pack Production and Mixing

Regular F9 customers will know we're always trying to push the boundaries with each release, and this is our second multiformat pack. We have once again taken this pack into a serious studio to mix.
Salvation Studios in West Brighton opened recently built around one of the finest audio consoles ever built. The last of the hand-wired Neves, a stunning 32-channel 8068 console.
This provided the perfect environment to pre-mix such an organic collection of drum stems, bringing everything to life in a stunning way.
Not only did use the wonderful warmth, grunt and mojo the Neve 8068 delivered, but we were processing via some stellar hardware.
Briscati M7, Dual Pultec EQM-1S3 mastering EQs, original DBX 160 (Kick drum duties obviously), Cranesong STC-8 Compressor / Limiter, SSl Fusion and Bus + and even our beloved Neumann W492 mastering EQs (Still racked in one of the most bizarre boxes we’ve ever used as they sound amazing).
Our favourite for the session though was an original EMT 140 plate reverb. Lively, deep enough to swim through and yet never seeming to swamp the sounds. A thing of beauty.
As always A full PDF Manual is included covering all installation instructions, and details on the pack and its contents.
You can download this manual by clicking on the picture below:
Compatibility List:
- The main portion of this pack (WAV Stems, loops, and hits) is compatible with all DAWs and devices that support 24-bit, 44.1Khz WAV files.

All of the music, midi, stems and loops from the audio demos.

The idea was simple -
Create a SINGLE FOLDER to organize a huge and expansive SNARE! collection across as many genres as humanly possible. Nothing could quite prepare us for the journey. It has re-defined the word 'Epic' at F9.
If there is one sound that can strike fear into even the most seasoned and experienced producer it has to be - The SNARE!
No other pack on the market today goes as far as F9 SNARE! to bring you a perfectly curated, expertly produced, mixed, and engineered collection of snare drums for all modern genres. All in a single carefully constructed folder that will cover every DAW user as well as hardware enthusiasts with DAW-less setups.
The Difference -
Raw sounds are one thing and we all have too many to count - What sets this collection apart is the production-ready processing we've applied to every single hit.
This is a bold statement to make and is overused dramatically within marketing hype & hyperbole, but having just completed all of the work on the audio demos, we can say for absolute certain that these snares will cut through effortlessly and require a fraction of the processing you may be used to.
All of this, even before you start utilizing the layer collection, the re-sampled, snares (carefully re-processed through a whole collection of vintage samplers), and certainly before you start layering the synth drums with the single shot collection.
Because of the tonality and wide gamut of sound snare drums within, the options available with this pack will hopefully give you a creative edge in snare drum design for years to come.
We've looked around and we've not found a single other pack dedicated to this instrument with this amount of power.
Synthesizing Snares -
Obviously, some of the most famous snare drum sounds in modern history, come from analog circuitry. The Roland Corps iconic 808,909,606 and CR78 are production staples, but this is F9 and we wanted to go further than ever before.
Most synthesized snare drums contain elements of filtered noise, alongside tonal parts hewn from free-running oscillators.
This means that every hit is slightly unique. The only way to capture this level of movement in a sound is to sample multiple hits and cycle through them in a technique known as round-robin.
This led us to one of the most involved and complex part of producing this pack, and we went right down the rabbit hole sampling more than 400 synthesized snare drums, with up to 8 separate round-robin hits EACH!
This not only includes renowned classics, such as the Simmons SDS series and the Synare but a plethora of Eurorack, Physically modelled, and digitally sourced synth snares.
These synth-based sounds can often be renowned for being much softer than digital hits that you we are all used to. Here, we have used an immense amount of analog hardware and digital post-processing to make sure that every single one of these analog sounds hit right and you are knowledgeable, it has never been done to this degree for any other collection
This Pack Contains
- 1047 Sampled Snares (in 33 Categories)
- 462 Synth-Based Snares (Sampled Round Robin)

- 357 Vintage Sampler Resampled Snares

Anything that straddles the top, mid-range, and bass areas of your production spectrum has to fit like a glove, but modern genres, production, and mixing, also demand punch.

Our Most Succesful Product So Far
100 Modern, Solid Kicks + Expertise
This is a sample pack I've wanted personally for my entire career. A hand-curated collection of modern kick drums that provide instant punch and perfectly controlled subsonic audio that won't swamp your production.
Like all F9 releases - we went above and beyond in the search for the ultimate pack of club-ready bass drums.
Resampling through one of the world's most revered sampling drum machines, Separating the transient and body portions of every kick for endless mix-and-match, adding a whole collection of kick layers and wrapping the whole lot up in our renowned sampler formats.
I'm immensely proud to present F9 KICK! Vol1 - 100 kicks, all created to give you access to the finest foundation for your next production's bass end.
Included in this single-format pack:
- 100 X 24 Bit Kicks 75 Club Kicks, 25 House Kicks
- 100 X 16 Bit Kicks ( Names compatible with vintage MPC and other samplers)
- 100 X MPC3K Kicks All re-sampled with our vintage MPC 3000
- Split Kicks - All core kicks have been separated into 'Transient' and 'Body' portions allowing for mix-and matching of sound
- Layers - A collection of overlays for your kicks, Multiple forms of ambience and reverbs, digital elements and grunge for additional customisation.
- Kontakt 5.8.1 Library **
- MPC V2.11 Expansion (Including the FREE MPC Beats)

100 Core Kicks.
75 Club Kicks start the collection off, every one of them created inside a working musical production - not in isolation like so many sample packs. perfectly balanced transient and ambience layers were added during production.
25 House Kicks then top off this collection - Many sourced from 909 and other analogue sources or recorded from several of our classic samplers.
We have covered a ton of sonic options here across this pack whilst making sure every kick is useable, punchy and adaptable.
The kicks (and all main WAV files) are available normalized and also levelled -6DB from digital full scale,
MPC 3000 Kicks.
All 100 Kicks have been re-sampled into F9 MPC 3000 and kicked back out through its legendary & punchy audio outputs.
Pre-Amped via an API 527 we then added just a hint of presence and heft from a stereo pair of Chandler Lil Devil inductor EQs before adding a tickle of compression with a stereo pair of DBX 160Xs. The conversion from analogue to digital was handled by our Apogee Symphony system.
This folder of kicks will give you a slightly tighter bass end as the natural filtering of the analogue recording stages push the kicks forward whilst the MPC's 16bit converters add the slightest air of crunch.
Split Kicks.
All 100 Kicks have been carefully processed to split the noise ( Transient ) and tonal ( Body ) elements into separate files. As the spectral process was identical for each kick it allows for some almost impossibly-instant mix-and-match experiments.
You can also layer multiple transients against a solid body portion to really hammer home the aurally-vital initial 50ms of your composite kick.
The potential here for unique kick tones using these samples is huge - not every combination will work ( that would be misleading to suggest ) but in our investigations, it has never ceased to be fun to experiment with the split samples in this pack.
Kick Layers
Everyone wants to have their own unique take on modern music. That's why we added 190 layer samples to this collection - We encourage a lot of experimentation in this corner of the library - A dusting of ambience, some grunge and a tight digital top ( carefully balanced - you'll only need a whisper ) will transform these kicks character and perceived sound-field placement.
Sampler Formats
We've included enough sampler formats to cover every DAW. Direct support for Ableton, Logic and Cubase ( Via Halion Sonic SE ) is included. as well as MPC V2.11 and Kontakt 58.1. Onwards ( Full version required )

Please Don't Key Your Kick Drums
For years I've been getting increasingly worried about the terrible information out there surrounding the precise keying of kick drums to the music root of your production.
Such advice is fundamentally flawed as in the lowest frequency ranges we simply do not experience harmony in the same way we do in the higher octaves for a number of reasons.
Phase is king and the most important concept to understand and control in the subsonic end of contemporary audio. Tuning your kick and bass fundamentals together throws up huge phase-related issues in these vital and often misunderstood areas. As energy increases the lower you go in terms of frequency, the problems start to become exponentially more important in your quest for a solid bass end.
Every single process we've ever seen to sidestep this involves enormous amounts of work and sets you up for danger later in the production/mixing pipeline.
After discussions with many producers who still cling to this, I can say for certainty that very few active producers fully understand the complexities of phase in DAW workflows ( E.G. - did you know that 90% of EQs create a fairly dramatic phase shift the moment you apply a high-pass filter or raise the gain of any band on a bass or kick drum ? )
Please do not 'Key' your kick drums. Use your ears to pick great kicks first, then shorten them as much as possible for your production / chosen genre ( this is often the secret of landing your kick correctly ) then use visual diagnostics to check how it's working across your track. Always trust your ears over the visuals - You don't hear music with your eyes or appreciate it via theory.
I understand there are a few extreme genres of dance music where the kicks are so heavily processed and distorted that the upper harmonics create a note in themselves, but the remaining 99% of electronic producers need only concern themselves with fine and coarse tuning, not keying.
At no point throughout the production of the audio demos above did we ever consider the key of the kicks.
Please don't believe everything you read in forums.
