For years, the F9 hybrid studios has been archiving raw synthesizer waveforms.

We didn't just sample these instruments; we ran them through a premium, all-tube DI box and some of the finest hardware EQ and processors we could muster to capture rich, warm harmonics before we even pressed record.

64 of these fully multi-sampled maps were used to power this pack. But we didn't stop there.

We then built a custom processing app to analyse the minute cycle imperfections of a few choice selections, breaking them into discrete frames perfectly tailored for Serum 2.

Clips & MIDI Files

We found a really interesting use of the Serum clip player. By entering a sequence around C3 within the player and setting a few parameters carefully, we can create sequences that fire off directly from the note played by the user

We've included 6 banks of 12 clips that will cover everything from acid sequences to the most useful 8th and 16th sequences used in modern music and club productions

Once installed, these can be used on any Preset in your library, not just this pack

Every single MIDI file used to play these patches in the audio demos has been included alongside our ever growing bassline collection

The Extra Miles..

Wavetable technology is amazing but it has one serious flaw - it can sound cold and lifeless as all of the inherent movement, jitter and micro-differences between each waveform cycle are missing — and so far there hasn't been a form of modulation in WT synths that can replicate it. It often occurs at the sharp edges of the wave, which is hard to emulate.

The moment Serum 2 added SFZ support we knew there was amazing potential to utilise our waveform collection to combat this — and, as you can see and hear, the results are stunning and instantly present.

We are so proud of the results - in the audio demos above, only tiny frequency balance EQ moves were needed on the Serum bass instrument channel (with some additional sidechaining) to get the result you hear above.
